Our design department
consists of employees highly experienced and knowledgeable in the areas
of CAD/CAM and CNC technology, and the latest computer hardware and
engineering software on the market.
As a foundation for all
our new jobs, we create a solid model in Solidworks of your part
whether from supplied electronic data, or by entering it from a
print. An assembly is then created consisting of the base plates,
cavity blocks, slides, inserts, pickouts, etc. Collision
detection and animation can be applied to further inspect the
design. This enables us to better visualize the
processes we will take to manufacture the mold and helps to ensure that
all blocks will match up and no mismatch, parting lines, or undercuts
will occur.
Once the design is proved
out, the individual components are transferred to the CAM system for
toolpath processing, material lists are created, and designs are
plotted out for use on the shop floor.
